The story of Srinivasan is one that that we wish that no one ever goes through. As a 8 day infant, he suffered a Polio attack. At 3 years, he had puss formed on his left leg and was operated. At 7 years, he twisted his ankle and had to be operated. At 15 years, lost his hearing due to a failed surgery, after heavy puss discharge from his left ear. In Dec 2020, He had a Heart attack and underwent By-pass surgery under the Chief Minister Scheme. In 2012, his father who worked as a carpenter passed away. Sekar was a normal kid who grew up in Padappai, a small village on the outskirts of Chennai. He was in primary school when his life took a sudden turn. His father became very ill. The family spent all their savings paying medical bills, leaving them with almost nothing. This left Sekar struggling to continue his schooling but he did not give up.
